The year 2022 is finding the Western Balkans in a serious security situation due to the return of tensions during 2021 in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo and Montenegro.
Analysts in Pristina say the region is facing the most fragile security situation in the last 10 years.
Analyst Agon Maliqi says that this fragility is affecting tensions between the West and Russia in Ukraine, where, according to him, the further escalation of the situation will not go unnoticed even in the Balkans.
He says Kosovo and NATO should be more attentive during the coming weeks and months. /voa
