Spahiu says it is time for results in the negotiations process and stresses that if otherwise, the region will slide back into violence.
This year is entering with a garrison of strong American diplomats in the region. That means we can expect a stronger American commitment even in the Kosovo dialogue, Serbia for normalisation. After a long period of infertility in this process, it is time for results. Or the region will slide back into the cycle of violence. Although the U.S. will still not have the role of the mediator, which the EU will have further, but the American presence will be sensitive and I hope it will impact concrete results”, Sapiu said of the Express Journal.
Spahiu says the current US administration warns a more pro-active commitment, not only because of Kosovo dialogue, Serbia, but also as a result of increasing the influence of Russian-Chinese politics and the burden of the region.
