The Kremlin claims that the United States is not addressing fundamental issues and that there is still no compliance as to when the two countries' top officials will meet again.

The official Kremlin also disclosed that Vladimir Putin has accepted the Turkish counterpart Erdogan's invitation to visit the Turkish state as soon as possible from the pandemic situation.

Russian diplomat Sergei Lavrov, on the Thursday, said the US's statements to Moscow regarding the earlier requests have given “hopes of starting a serious dialogue”, but only to secondary issues, Russian news agencies report.

“Putin will decide on steps away from Russia in terms of the US and NATO written answers handed over to Moscow on Wednesday” were the words of Russia's Foreign Affairs Minister Sergei Lavrov.

Kremlin also added that “space for dialogue in the United States to continue”, but stressed that Russia's main demands were not taken into account by Washington.

Describing the tensions in Europe as similar to the Cold War, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said it would take time for Moscow until he analyses American answers.
