Serbian referendum: “Valley Albanians are not interested in cosmetic changes”

The head of the Albanian National Council in the Presevo Valley, Ragmi Mustafi, has said Albanians of the Valley were indifferent to the changes that took place in Serbia's constitution, with the referendum yesterday, calling them cosmetic changes. “Valley Albanians are not interested in these cosmetic changes because they don't remove it. [...]
The Valley's “Albanians are not interested in these cosmetic changes, because it does not remove Kosovo from the constitution, either it creates a space to be more equal and define Serbia as a civic state”, Mustaf told Info Magazine.
He said Albanians there had expected substantial changes, not that Serbia would still be represented as a majority state and leave non-combat people in second order.
The “Albanians of the Presevo Valley have expected to have substantial changes to the constitution, and not that the constitution further introduce Serbia as a majority state, excluding the non-combat people, respectively placing them as second-class citizens, and much more so that no greater space is created to exercise freedom, justice and equality” has added Mustafi.
He stressed that the failure of the referendum in Kosovo was fair.
Mustafi said the Serbian prime minister's warnings are frightening. They, according to him, could repeat earlier situations that caused Serbs in Kosovo.
He said he hopes tensions created between Kosovo and Serbia do not have implications for Albanians and Valley, because then, according to him, it would be much easier to implement any fascist policy.
