US sends first military aid to Ukraine

Washington has also approved a movement of the Baltic states of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania to send weapons produced by the US to Ukraine. State Secretary Antony Blinken wrote on Twitter Saturday to welcome the three NATO countries and former Soviet republics for their long-standing support of Ukraine.
Late Friday, the US Embassy in Kiev posted photos of a shipment she said had just arrived from the US, with close to 200,000 pounds of deadly aid, including ammunition for Ukrainian first-line defenders, Euronews writes, Klonkosova records. tv
“Dergesa demonstrated Washington's commitment to helping Ukraine strengthen its defence in the face of increased Russian aggression”, the embassy said on Twitter.
The top American and Russian diplomats agreed on Friday to continue negotiating the impasse for Ukraine, even though their meeting did not bring any movement into the worst security crisis that emerged between Moscow and the West since the Cold War.
