Serbian Bosnia and Herzegovina Presidency member Milorad Dodik said yesterday he sees Republika Srpska as an independent state in the next five years.

Dodik estimated that Bosnia and Herzegovina “only survives because it is maintained by the international factor”, adding that “forca” is the only thing left to preserve it.

“Now Milorad Dodik has been severely attacked,” he told RTRS, claiming it would be much easier to show political unity in Republika Srpska.

Speaking of the sanctions that the US imposed a few days ago, Dodik estimated Americans are “ready to go to the end of”.

He reiterated that early next week he will meet with Serbian President Aleksandar Vuciq.

Meanwhile Serbia's prime minister, Ana Brnabiq, stated yesterday in Banja Luka that “Republika Srpska is the product of the Serbian people's desire to live in peace and prevent crimes committed against the Serbian people during World War II”.

Serbia's prime minister, at the ceremony held on the Day of the Republika Srpska Republic, said the relationship between Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina “became special to Serbia's President Aleksandar Vuciq and Serbian presidency member Milorad Dodik.

Brnabyq has conveyed Vuciqi's wish, where, among other things, he says he is concerned by imposing sanctions on Dodik.

Serbia will never impose sanctions against members of its people in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Republika Srpska”.

Republika Srpska President Zeljka Cvianovic, on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of this entity of Bosnia and Herzegovina, has shared decorations for several Serbian personalities, including Serbian Prime Minister Ivica Dacic and Serbian Ambassador to the US Marko Djuric.

Serbia's Ambassador to the United States, Marko Djurovic, who had previously been director of the so-called Office for Kosovo in the Government of Serbia, has said that Serbia's representatives have not yet talked with Milorad Dodik about the latest US sanctions, stressing that Serbia is always with its people in Republika Srpska.

Today's “is dedicated to ceremonies and celebrations, but Serbia is always with its people in Republika Srpska”, Djuric told reporters in Banja Luka following the awards-sharing ceremony.
