Seeing that cases of women's murder by their husbands are on the rise, RGK requires institutions that such cases be seriously addressed by all justice organs such as police, Prosecution and Courts.
This case just dissects and reminds us of institutional shortcomings in the proper treatment of women's murders and childicide. Even a woman died in a country in which every murder of women is associated with institutional silence, procrastination of sentences and low sentences. Therefore, RGK requires investigating this case until the final test, as well as demanding maximum condemnation against the accused. The consecutive murders show that acts and decisions of justice are not contributing to the prevention of women's murders, and these acts and decisions are only motivating the perpetrators, while undermining women and girls to seek justice and report cases of violence”, the GGK communiqué says.
The RGK reiterates calling on institutions responsible for justice such as Court, Prosecutor's, and Kosovo Police, to address cases of violence against women and girls with the focus always of access based on victim.
