A powerful convoy from Italy is expected to crash in the direction of Greece and is expected to condition snow rainfall, especially on the territory of the Republic of Kosovo, where heavy snow rainfall intervals are expected. Temperatures from tomorrow are expected to mark significant landings, and cold northern winds are also expected.
The real winter scenario of the coming days is expected especially in the hilly-mountain regions of the region, but also many lowlands of the Republic of Kosovo, the Presevo Valley and some lowlands of northern Macedonia and Montenegro. Snowfalls of up to 20 inches [30 cm] are cut in these hilly - mountain regions, and northern winds are expected to also condition snow storms and strong winter whistles, creating snow orchids. Even in Kosovo's lowlands, the snow's thickness is expected to grow from 5 to 15cm., even in some areas up to 20 or 25cm.
Snowfalls will continue during Tuesday, but will come gradually weakening. Snowfall is expected in Kosovo, northern, east and central Montenegro, the Presevo Valley, northeast, east and southeast of Albania, as well as west and southwest of northern Macedonia, locally and elsewhere, but still no sweeping rainfall is expected. Many parts of Albania and some northern Macedonia lowlands are expected to remain without snow.
Very powerful rain and snow storms are expected to include Greece and Bulgaria with heavy rainfall and snow. After Greece, Cyclone is expected to include Turkey's territory, bringing heavy rainfall and snow there as well.
After the Cyclone's departure towards Greece and Turkey from Tuesday will begin placing powerful anticyclonic air measures on our territories. Thus, several mostly dry but very cold and deep - down days during nights and mornings await us from Wednesday. Given the current Sinoptic performance this cold will not last long, and since next weekend the weather is expected to soften, but this remains to be seen. /MeteoBalkan
