Pupovci has said that Kosovo schools must certainly be taught about religion, which provides information on different religions, and that this is accomplished under social sciences, while religious education as a property in itself belongs to religious communities rather than secular schools.
The school must be taught about religion in the form it provides information on various religions, but always maintaining the secular character of the school. This is done in the context of social sciences such as history, civic education, sociology, philosophy, etc., whose content is constantly enriched. Meanwhile, religious education that is directly related to practicing religion belongs to religious communities, not secular school. All religious communities have specific programs for religious education, and it is a matter of parental free will if children follow those programs. Our school is secular and must remain”, Pupovci declared news.net.
