With the current funding formula perhaps about a thousand teachers are excessive in the education system. However, last year when we planned the budget for this year all those teachers were kept in the system”, Pupovci said.
“We haven't told municipalities to fire 1,000 teachers so that we can save some money because they can't be financed through the employment formula”, he added.
“There are classrooms which are of small number of students with the sole intention of not getting people out of work, Pupovci told RTV21.
When a salary increase becomes, if done for a smaller number, it is not good to do at the cost of firing someone. All these estimates require time and accuracy”, Pupovci noted.
