Five days before the assassination, on January 1st, 48-year-old Freedom Qerim had reported to police the physical violence allegedly caused by her husband, Skender Qreim. Police had also announced the case to the caretaker prosecutor, who is Stojanka Kasalovic.
The news confirmed for Calxo. Kom and Mitrovica Chief Prosecutor Ismet Ujcani. He said Kasalovic was a caretaker prosecutor who accepted the case.
