Prices rise, food prices gap in 2020 and 2021

The Statistics Agency reported in October a 5.7 per cent increase in consumer prices. The highest price increase was marked on bread, cereals, meat, milk, cheese, oil, eggs, trees, and vegetables.

The price gap between 2020 and 2021 is widely noted, writes Inex Online.

Today in many Kosovo cities, a bread has become 50 cents. However, according to the AKS, a liter of food oil in September 2020 cost 1.06 euros, while a year later this product is sold for 1.55 euros. During September last year, a kilo of rice has cost 1.38 euros, which this year cost 1.44 euros, while a set of eggs during September have been sold 2,61 euros of 1.95 euros.

“Buke and cereals at 1.5 percent, meat at 1.9 percent, milk, cheese and eggs at 7.7 percent, oil and food fats at 28.6 percent, vegetables at 19.7 percent, sugar, jam, honey, chocolate and sugar, alcohol drinks at 3.7 percent, tobacco at 2.7 percent, gas at 10.6 percent, fuel fuel, fire, gas, 4.6 percent per cent, fuel, and lubricants for personal transport equipment with 26.7 percent, transportation for 2.2 percent, telephone services, and telephone services at 10.6 percent, organised fuel, 8.9 percent of the hotel services, with a report of 6.2 percent, with financial services reported at 6.2%.

In addition to these increases in food products, an increase in the price of electricity bills has been warned.

The price of energy is expected to rise in April about 40 per cent.

Citizens' pocket only got worse, as no public and private sector salary was made.

And, Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti, for price raising promised to come to the aid of citizens with a package of measures.
