Police respond to Serbian List: Kovacevic was not attacked for anti-Serb campaign, but for logging

Police explain that until the beating in this village came after a dispute over logging trees.

Commenting on false writings published in various portals

Pristina, on January 17th 2022,

Kosovo police deliberately inform the direct public opinion of certain writings published today with (17.01.2022) at various portals, referring to Serbian List statements that the person M has been attacked. K, in the village of Runik, Scytheright, and according to them, this attack is anti-Serbian, reacts to these false writings, and explains the following:

The case was reported by 16,01.2022 in the village of Runik in Skowright, and there is no connection to interethnic issues, or as it is claimed to be anti-Serb, but has to do with the initiated “work. Attack”, where according to victim M. K, the Kosovo Serb male, during communication with Kosovo male suspect B. S, had come to fight among themselves as a pretext after the victim had suspected that the suspect in question had damaged his forest on private property.

It is noteworthy that Kosovo police after reporting the case have immediately taken all necessary operational investigative actions, arresting the suspected person as well as interviewing a random witness, and after completing the case has been processed in regular procedure.

Therefore, we consider that public opinion should be informed correctly and in no single case should be disinformed as in the concrete case, where the following communiqué published on the 1601.2022s by the competent regional directorate.

Suspected criminal activity suspect “arrested Attack”

Skenderaj, January 16, 2022

In the afternoon of January 16th, 2022, the Skenderaj Police Station has been reported and a case of criminal activity elements has been initiated.

From initial investigations and the statement of the victim m/k/ M. C., it is known that as long as the victim was in the village of Runica in Skowright, he had met with the suspect they had known before, where in communication he had come to fight among themselves as a pretext after the victim suspected that he had damaged the forest's private property.

In connection with the case, intensive investigative action has been identified and arrested by the M/k/B.S. suspect, as well as interviewed by a case witness.

For all actions taken is to contact the prosecutor of the case, from which it is suggested that the case be initiated and investigated for criminal work “Sulmão.

After interviewing the suspect by order of the prosecutor has been released in regular procedure.
