Osmani: Truth about Recak more powerful than any propaganda by Milosevic associates
The country's president, Vjosa Osmani, has said the Recak massacre was the event where the world finally understood what Milosevic's regime in Kosovo has done.
She said Milosevic's genocidal regime has committed crimes in Recak against the innocent civilian population.
“23 years ago not too far from the country where everyone today does their honours, the world was disgusted and finally understood by the macabre images of the Recak massacre, the crime that took place on the innocent Albanian civilian population. Civilians applauded, on the morning of the fateful day, were brutally cut off by forces of Milosevic's genocide regime”, Osmani said.
Furthermore, Osmani declared that this massacre has proved that Serbia was intent on extermination against Albanians.
On that day, the Bebushi Codra was a reflection of crimes against humanity, a reflection of crime against Albanians, a reflection of the extermination and genocide target of the Milosevic regime. It was a reflection of massacres against people found in their homes and who faced the savagery of Serbian police and military forces”, she has said.
The president stressed that Recak's truth is powerful and cannot be changed.
The “in Recak has committed a crime against the people, but also a depletion of Serbia's goal then to eliminate Albanians from the face of the earth. Recak was one of many terrible massacres. Denying the evidence of war through rehabilitation of war criminals is a repeat of four crime. The truth about Recak is far more powerful than any propaganda by Milosevic's associates”, she has said.
