Obadiah: At the hearing we will challenge this scandalous government warning to electricity growth

The chairman of the Democratic League of Kosovo, Lumir Abdixhiku, has indicated that on Thursday in the Kosovo Assembly will reject the government's current warning regarding the Energy Regulatory Office's proposal for increased electricity tariffs. Obadiah has said he expects every responsible MP in [...]

Abdixhiku has said he expects any responsible MP in the Assembly to reject such a decision by the government, saying they cannot afford such damage, Periscope follows.

We have a crisis. Then they gave him 100m euros for energy purchase. Before the state budget we could use much better. Now we have a crisis, a hundred million less, an energy supply.

No responsibility costs. Delay costs. And two weeks from today, this government's irresponsible indictee, beyond 100 million already burned, will pay more than half of Kosovo's families on their monthly energy bills. For the following month, one-third of the average salary in Kosovo will go energy. Now this is crisis”, Obadiah wrote on Facebook.

He said this is the highest expensive electricity in all of Kosovo's history.

Besides paying dearly, except that families are being discriminated against without any logical criteria, there is no plan or idea for long-term strategic development. Late decisions and scandalous solutions. This is the epilogue of disability. I'm convinced, of course, that this time they'll find a criminal somewhere in 20 years. But there's nothing that can cover this incompetence. There is something covering the financial burden being placed on Kosovo families”.

We remember that the executive has suggested it will provide 75m euros for energy subsidies to citizens and businesses. However, the Government's announcement has sparked widespread criticism after it was learned that citizens who spend over 600kWh a month could cost the bill twice as much as February.
