Former deputy chairman of the KLA war veterans' organisation, Nasim Haradinaj, has said that opposition is against the approach he is following the Specialised Prosecutor's Office rather than against the Specialised Chambers. He has completed his testimony before the court.

On the fourth day of his testimony until it has answered defence lawyer Toby Cadman's questions, Haradinaj has said the court understands as legitimate.

 “

He has reiterated that all those who committed crimes must appear before the tribunal while opposing the functioning of the tribunal in an ethnic way.

I think that anyone who committed a crime is meritive and deserves it and must be brought to justice, why select these”, he added.

Lawyer Cadman has mentioned Serbia's massacres and crimes committed in Kosovo and has asked Haradinaj if he is aware of them.

Haradinaj not allowed to answer for involvement in massacres against Albanians

Video

Lawyer Cadman: Are you aware of an incident that took place on February 28th until March 1st, known as the Church of Cyres, 1998, which is known as the Crees Massacre. Before you answer, I will read a list of dates because the question is the same about all these dates on April 1st 1999 and May 25th 1998 in two different incidents that are the massacre of Lübelici, on January 15, 1999, known as Recak's Massacre, on March 5, 1999, an attack against Preskazi in which Serb forces killed Ademi Jashar and 60 members of his family, and on April 27, 1999, what is known as the Massacra Meja where 300 Albanians allegedly were killed by Serb forces. Can you now see the list of names?

Haradinaj: Yeah, I'm aware.

Lawyer Cadman: Can you now see the list of names, not to mention names, can you tell me if you believe any of these people on this list were involved in any of these massacres?

Prosecutor: Objection, it has nothing to do with questions.

Judge Smith: Opposition is accepted.

Lawyer Cadman: In this trial you have heard testimony from a prosecution witness, Mrs. Zadenka Pumper, who confirmed to the court that the prosecution is not investigating the Serbian crime chief, may I ask how did this make you feel?

Haradinaj: Not only do I feel bad, but all that is in Kosovo and I hope not only Albanians, but all those who really want justice feel bad, both Serbs and other nationalities because there are victims of all.

The defence attorney has asked Haradinaj for reasons that have prompted him to take actions related to documents he had achieved at O offices VL- KLA in September 2020.

“sir, this is all about what I've done and I'm being accused of here, the reason why I've done this and what I've done is transparency and public interest and showing how we feel like veteran and public opinion, after all I've given my life for this people and for democracy, so when I see that these are on my feet, that's for the sake of transparency and public interest, no other thing and the bias that this prosecutor has, ”, Haradin said.

Once again, Haradinaj has said he has never published or photographed documents.

After the end of Haradinaj's testimony, while the issue of defence is being filed, the testimony will begin of Rashit Qalajt, who has already read the witness's oath.

Hysni Gucati and Nasim Haradinaj were arrested on 25 September 2020, since they are even staying in custody at The Hague.

The flow of documents from the Special, which by a still unknown person have been sent to O'O offices VL- The KLA, and publicisation of this event by the leaders of the organisation, is the reason Hysni Gucati and Nasim Haradinaj are being tried.

On them are charges of criminal acts against administration of justice, namely obstructing official persons in performing official duties, fearing witnesses, revenge, and violating the secret of the procedure.
