Ministry of Education: We are ready for online instruction if necessary

The Ministry of Education is expressing itself ready to develop online learning in case the need is presented. The second half anniversary has started with attendance in schools and hours, but the call is being made for children over the age of 12 to be vaccinated in order to continue with this scenario.

Deputy Prime Minister Dukagjin Popovci at the media conference has declared that the number of children vaccinated is very small. Until he mentioned the other three scenarios for learning development, he said they are willing to be taught online this year as well.

  We're willing to learn online if necessary this year. From the first day through public broadcasters, videos are labeled according to plan programs from 1-9, depending on whether or not someone uses them right now, it can always happen that a school needs to be passed online. Then the same videos are on the official channel of MAST in YouTube, as well as on school curriculum.org, which can also be used for real-time learning”, Pupovci said.

He further said that they do not have accurate data on the number of children vaccinated, but on information through schools it is said to be small.

“Vaxin is the safest protection from the effects of infection, if not the infection itself. We find the vaccine rate among teachers greedy, about 95%. But that cannot be said for students, students, and the community in general. Even though Kosovo's vaccine rate is better than in other Western Balkan countries. I take advantage of the opportunity to invite all students 12 years of age and above on behalf of the Ministry of Education once again, students and family members will be vaccinated because in this form they contribute to the remaining open to the educational institutions of”, he said.

Pupovci has also talked about hiring 100 assistants for children with special needs. According to him,

“Plani is for their employment to take place during the first three months of this year. To that end, the ministry has announced yesterday to municipal education directors for procedures that should be implemented in the employment case, because they will be employed by municipal directors. We will also exercise a kind of monitoring in co-operation with the Ministry of Local Power and Finance Management to ensure that this process is conducted as planned. It is important that these persons be employed and distributed to schools in order to meet the conditions and needs of the children belonging to this” category, he has declared.

According to Pupovci, the government's plan remains to be employed annually by 100 assistants and that their division into municipalities is done through the specific education grant.

At today's conference, Pupovci has declared that during this week the National Council of Science, which was appointed last year by the Assembly of Kosovo.
