Minister Murati: LDK just made history in the Parliament

Finance and Transfers Minister Iron Murati has reacted to the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) that did not vote the international agreement for the country's social assistance system reform project. So this deal failed to be approved.

LDK just made history in the Parliament!

It is the first time that an international financial agreement collapses in the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo.

The agreement signed with the World Bank was aimed at reforming the social assistance scheme to make the most fun and including needy families, which is especially necessary at this time.

The project was also aimed at building and integrating systems for these families to rely on job integration so that social support could be temporary and serve as a transitional phase to their employment.

It would benefit tens of thousands of families.

In the past, there have been cases when international agreements have not gone through the necessary quota of 80 votes, which has meant that they have been delayed for the next session, but they never happened to fall the way the LDK did today.
