According to the latest INSA survey conducted for the newspaper “Bild”, Merkel is not only in the first place as the most beloved German politician, but has increased the advantage last month, despite withdrawal from politics.
The former cadre already has the backing of 59.3 per cent of citizens or three percentage points more than the results of the November 29th survey.
The second most popular German politician is Health Minister Carl Lauterbach, while current Chancellor Olaf Scholz is in third place with 51%.
