Amblist from LVV in Gjilan's Municipal Assembly, Ismail Kurteshi, says the coalition that was reached Thursday with the PDK does not mean his personal union with the party.
He, invited to the special edition of Kosovo, said that this party was greeted 12 years ago and that they were not at odds with the PDK.
Kurteshi indicated that before making the power-sharing agreement, LVV and PDK have signed a document, which according to him is called the “Agreement for good governance”.
The “in which these points are, primarily the honesty that implies that anyone who misuses power will be removed from power. Then there's professionalism and there's transparency in the end. With these elements we believe we create good governance and we must move forward and not remain hostage to the past,” said Kurteshi.
The former delegation claims that in subjects there are individuals who differ from each other in viewpoint, and according to him even after the LVV coalition preserves its purity.
I think this coalition in the first place is in the interest of the citizens of Gjilan, because Vetevendosje has demanded a vote for change and has made no sense for the coalition with the LDK, which the citizens of Gjilan have removed from government because of the discontent they have had with the way of governance. ”
On the other hand, he declared that coalitions do not occur because of love among subjects, but because of situations created based on election results. According to him, it would be a mistake not to have coalitions that will help, as he said, a good government.
My “Critics don't mean that me or Vetevendosje have been at odds with the PDK. We've got each other's views, and today I think that what I've said is that they've stayed, they haven't been a matter I've invented. But that does not mean that with the current PDK in Gjilan, which has been eight years out of power, it has been in opposition not to make a coalition which they impose on the 2021 local elections. ”
