The Independent Supervisor Council for the Kosovo Civil Service has praised the Government's decision to dismiss Shpend Trdevaj from the position of Secretary-General at the Kosovo Security Council as illegal.
The document provided by Indexline is said to have abolished the Government's decision on the dismissal of Trdevaj, and the issue is back in review.
At the same time, the prime minister is obliged to implement this Council decision in a period of 15 days.
Shpend Trdeva was fired from the government in November last year, under the argument that his recruiting of the Secretary General's position had been made in disagreement with legal provisions.
“In the continuation of our decisions to restore legitimacy to the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo today brings to you the proposal for abolishing the 16/31 decision through which the Secretary General is appointed to the position of the Council of Sigueria, Mr. Shend Trdewian, given the fact that Mr. Trdevaj in this position was made at odds with the legal provisions in force set out in the law for public officials is necessary for this decision to be abolished under the law on general administrative procedure”, Prime Minister Albin Kurti had said at his dismissal.
Trdeva was appointed Secretary General of the Security Council in September 2020, under the leadership of the Hoti Government.
