Kosovo, Serbia without will for final agreement

For several months, the Kosovo dialogue Serbia appears to be in trouble, as the parties are not deciding to start talks, nor does the date set for the next meeting seem to have. Court recognition in Kosovo says that because of the April elections in Serbia, there will be nothing concrete.
“Before elections in Serbia will have no progress. This more period should be used for Kosovo institutions to speak with our allies in the United States and the EU to be convinced of this new approach and new spirit within the framework the new government insists. I believe that these months should not be lost for Kosovo institutions to convince our partners of the need to change dialogue. So far we see that there is a gap between the approach of new institutions in Kosovo and our international allies, as they are insisting that the flow and dynamics of dialogue continue as it has been so far”, says Demush Shasha é, director of the Epic Institute.
Serbia will pass an election process in April and no immediate development is expected until the election process is completed there. However, the second part of the year from May onward, new developments and new dynamics can be expected in terms of the Kosovo dialogue process- Serbia ... We have seen that when there are election processes in Kosovo and Serbia, dialogue is suspended for a while. The mediator gives that state time to complete the election process, then continue with discussions in the dialogue. This is done in order not to influence the election results, or to have any impact on these” processes, says Violet Hajoll from the Kosovo Democratic Institute.
Gazmir Raci, the connoisseur of the dialogue process, says there is the possibility of a meeting between Kurti and Vucic in Paris, he even adds that in Kosovo very soon, the EU's special representative for dialogue, Miroslav Lajcak, and US Deputy Assistant Secretary Gabriel Escobar.
I think we're going to have a new approach, but we've got a little bit of a bit of a bit of a dialogue, because of the opposite positions we have between the parties. We also have the problem that Serbia has already entered the election phase at all levels and will be the problem of any possible meeting. Why is it being said recently that there may be a meeting in Paris, but this is not confirmed and I expect the dialogue to continue after April”, says Racci.
The referendum on constitutional changes in Serbia caused tensions between the two countries. Since last year, there has been no progress in the negotiations process.
