Kiev: Russia is boosting military involvement east of Ukraine

In a statement published on Facebook, the intelligence agency said that in recent weeks more than 7,000 tonnes of fuel, tanks, self - moving artillery and other weapons have been sent from Russia to Ukraine.
Moscow denies that it is militarily involved in the battle east of Ukraine, despite reliable data showing that it offers military, economic and political support for separatist formations that control parts of Ukrainian Luhansk and Donnetsk regions, since the conflict began in early 2014.

In the Ukrainian military intelligence statement, it was also said that the recruiting centres in Russia have stepped up efforts to recruit mercenaries to fight east of Ukraine.
These claims by Ukraine come at a time when Russia has gathered the army along the Ukrainian border and in the Ukrainian occupied Crimea region. Authorities in Kiev and Western governments have said Moscow may be preparing to invade Ukraine -- charges that the Kremlin dismiss.
Diplomats of the United States, Germany, France and the United Kingdom met in Berlin on January 20th and warned Moscow of “harsh response” and “severe consequences” if it escalates even more conflict.
