Rexhepi expressed satisfaction with members of the Roma and Egyptian community in the municipality of Prizren and Gjakova, who have responded to the call for inoculation, while expressing concern for the Bosniak community living in deeper areas.
We have information that in Prizren municipality, the Roma community, it is largely vaccinated. Also, we have information from Gjakova's chairman that the Egyptian community is vaccinated with a good percentage, but we have problems in the Prizren municipality, where the Bosniak community in rural areas, especially in rural villages, is not sufficiently vaccinated, and statistics show that almost 30 per cent of our community there is vaccinated, which all of us have to act to protect the lives of every citizen”, she said.
Even for the Turkish community, Kosovo Deputy Prime Minister Emilia Rexhepi indicated that they have been vaccinated to a satisfactory degree.
It offered support to all municipalities in order for minority citizens to have access to the vaccine centres and to be immunized against the Coronobrus.
Even the Turkish community in Prizren municipality is largely vaccinated, so we expect all of us to be active together and regardless of which political party the representatives of the municipalities come from, we as a government give absolute support to all our representatives in all municipalities to confront this problem and that as many people as possible be vaccinated, so that we do not have cases of death”, Deputy Prime Minister Rexhepi told Kosovo.
Now when the pandemic situation in the country has deteriorated, Deputy Prime Minister for Minority and Human Rights Issues Emilia Rexhepi demanded commitment from all sides in order to increase the number of citizen vaccines.
“Once again, we all have to keep in mind the seriousness of this situation not to endanger the lives of our population, and we will all engage in increasing the number of vaccinated citizens”, she said.
