It has been almost two years since Kosovo, like the world, is facing the COVID-19 pandemic. Measures to combat the spread of this disease have changed several times, as the Government of Kosovo has recently made a decision to tighten them more.

Despite Anti - Measures - CO VID had earlier, they were not properly respected, which is also seen as a major factor in alarming increase in cases.

“Coronavirus will not disappear, but this year will be the beginning of the end of the pandemic”, infected man Hamdi Ramadani declared in a pronomation for Telegrafi.

Meanwhile, speaking of measures taken to combat the spread of coronavirus, Ramadani said their respect, not only from citizens but also from responsible bodies, must be taken very seriously.

According to him, the move was even before cases were increased but neglected, and the situation is therefore markedly heavy.

Taking into account that citizens' interest was relatively low to say nothing, as the measures were not respected at all until now, were not responsible for their own health, their families. But even the institutions themselves need to make sure the measures taken by the Government of Kosovo are made to be implemented precisely, these were neglected and it has been absolutely expected to have a heavy situation, a new wave, which is Omitron, which is dominoous, with over 90 percent”, Ramadani said.

However, Ramadani said the measures that have been adopted are sensationalising, but are not expected to improve the situation quickly.

The most serious part should be to be respected precisely. This situation will not pass quickly, for example for a week or two, but the idea is to reduce cases and this high level of infection”, he stressed.

According to him, it's good luck that the Omitron variant is not appearing in heavy shapes, but that doesn't mean it won't change in weeks.

The best thing is that at the moment Omitron version is not presenting a serious clinical picture, or with serious complications. But that does not mean that in the coming weeks it will not appear in more severe and aggressive forms”, Ramadani said.

According to him, no age group is protected from the Omitron version of the coronavrus but are protected by three doses of anti vaccine - CO VID.

“Mbi all the responsibility of citizens, of the people is alpha and omega, respect of distance, hygiene, wearing the mask of distance, to stop this wave, as all ages are being involved, there is no protection. The only person protected is the one who took three doses of the vaccine. - COVID”, he said.

Ramadani has also called on the institutions responsible to see that the measures are respected.

The “The measures that were revised have little movement of the previous ones, such as the curfew and the gastronomy work schedule. But all this will affect only if the measures taken in force are respected, this is also by the citizens, but also the institutions that should make sure those measures are respected in precise order”, Ramadani said.

In addition, he added, they should never allow gatherings at shopping malls, or faceless meetings, distances and other measures.

“Remote work method, whether in schools or colleges, or even at work, I think it will have some kind of effect to ease the serious situation, because it is now disturbing the” situation, he said.

Ramadani stressed that only the third dose of the vaccine is the only way to combat the Omitron variant.

“Tri dose of vaccine has proven to neutralise Omitron version, which has presented resistance to the first two doses of anti vaccine - COVID”, Ramadani stressed.

Kosovo today has scored record cases of coronavirus, where in the last 24 hours, 3,000 and 206 new cases have been confirmed.

The Health Ministry has announced that out of 11,883 tests, 3,206 citizens have resulted positive with the COVID-19 virus.

Although there is an alarming increase in cases of COVID-19 in Kosovo, where the Omitron variant is dominant, in QKUK clinics and regional hospitals the situation continues to be calm. Among the categories considered to be most endangered by this virus are pregnant women and lehons.

At the CKUK's Gynecology Clinic, 18 women with COVID-19 are lying there.

The director of this clinic, Jakup Ismaili, said that all patients are in good condition.
