Hundreds of kilograms of cocaine caught in Montenegro

He gave no more details about this action held in Podgorica.
Earlier in the day, the deputy from the ruling party, Marko Milacick, announced via a Twitter post that he had accepted photos of banana parcels, believed to have been hidden cocaine from workers in a store chain depot “Voli”.
Police and the Special Prosecutor's Office have yet to elaborate on the amount of cocaine that was seized.
Also, neither has the company management “Voli” yet to respond.
The prosecution said that on January 13th it would come up with an official statement regarding the action.
This is the second time in the last six months since Montenegro seized large quantities of cocaine.
In August last year, Budimir and Marina Krstovic were arrested in Podgorica under suspicion that they had been participants in smuggling 1,400kg of cocaine, which were also found in packages packed with bananas.
In connection with the case, the prosecution filed an indictment in December.
Also, in June 2018, Montenegrin customs officials found over 38kg of cocaine during a routine inspection of a banana - laden container being transported from Ecuador.
