Worried by the gathering of Russian troops near the Ukrainian border, the military and Western alliance has demanded that several months of meeting the NATO Council Russia, but the forum seemed endangered following a spying dispute in October.
The meeting of this council ʹ forms that have been used for dialogue since 2002 will take place in Brussels on January 12th, after American and Russian officials have held security talks on January 10th in Geneva, Switzerland, Reuetters writes.
European Union top diplomat Josep Borrell left on Tuesday for a two-day visit to Ukraine to demonstrate support for Kiev, which aims to join NATO in the future.
“Whatever dialogue with Russia should continue on the basis of reciprocity, address NATO's concerns about Russia's actions and develop in consultations with NATO European partners”, the alliance official said.
