Democratic League of Kosovo deputy leader Lutfi Haziri has said the LDK is an institutional party, when asked about criticism of his party for failing to participate in Saturday's protest against the expensive flow organised by the Social Democratic Party.
“We should be critical of why we're out on the street, because we don't know such a party, we are institutionalist parties”, Haziri told the Albanian Post.
But, he has stressed that the LDK can protest and that it has witnessed this over the years.
We have staged political resistance with protests, but against a political regime that no longer exists in Kosovo”, he added.
However, he pointed out that his party is against the costing of electricity, but that dissatisfaction is the plot to express it with protests.
“We will politically continue to oppose it with all means within state institutions. This is the position until this moment, what might happen later will be the question of assessments of party leadership”.
On Saturday 29 January, the protest called by the Social Democrat Party of Kosovo has been held against the expensive electricity, while some of the Social Democrat Party members have crashed with the Kosovo Police.
