Justice Minister Albulen Haxhiu says Kosovo is an independent and sovereign state and that organising Serbia's referendum in Kosovo is a violation of sovereignty.
Haxhiu has written on Twitter that Serbian citizens with dual citizenship can vote like in any other state through mail and liaison office.
Kosovo's “Republic is an independent state and sovereign state. Organising Serbia's referendum in Kosovo is violation of its sovereignty and territorial integrity. Serbian citizens with dual citizenship as in any other state can vote via mail or in the liaison office”, Haxhiu wrote.
Regarding holding Serbia's referendum in Kosovo today, it will be discussed at the extraordinary session of the Kosovo Assembly, which was called by Prime Minister Kurti after yesterday's meeting with QUINT ambassadors.
The extraordinary session will begin at 2: 00 p.m. and is intended to issue a joint resolution in which the political will of MPs and parliamentary groups and the Kosovo Republic of Kosovo's Parliament is expressed regarding this referendum.
