Even after two years of pandemic, the Government of Kosovo cannot detect variants of COVID-19, it behaves with negligence and irresponsibly despite the pandemic situation. During December and early January 2022, there were efforts by the government to present false figures with COVID by reducing them, having been camouflaged with seasonal flu as Omitron's symptoms and seasonal flu were the same. We have dozens of cases when Omitron patients have been given therapy without being instructed to test for COVID. These persons have moved freely and have become distributors of the virus, increasing the speed of the number of positive cases”, he has declared.
Haxhiu has said that within six months the government has reiterated the same mistake as mismanagement of the pandemic.

Haxhiu has criticised the government for even restrictive measures against COVID-19.

Also, Haxhiu has asked the minister of Health to publicise the number of purchased vaccines, receive as a donation, of those who have expired.
