Ambassador Havenier has written that this meeting confirms US support for KFOR, while he said the American troops' contribution to Bondstheel is evidence of US engagement. KFOR's role has been considered necessary for ensuring regional stability.
“Meeting with KFOR Commander Ferenc Kayari reaffirmed the US's firm and consistent support for KFOR. The contributions of US troops to Bondsteel, one of the largest among the allies, is evidence of our commitment to the necessary role of KFOR in ensuring regional stability”, the US ambassador has written.
As KFOR has announced through a statement at <x0witter”, Kayari has announced Ambassador Havenier about the security situation in Kosovo and for the daily activities of KFOR in fulfilling their mandate.
