The Agency for Electronic Media (AME) stresses that the decision has been made because over a period of time on this television, right on the “Good morning Serbia” has had programmor content that has fostered hatred, intolerance and discrimination against members of Montenegrin nationalism.

“The Agency for Electronic Media noted that programming content uses derogatory, insulting or disturbing expressions that promote strong negative emotions, hostile expressions or a desire for discrimination, as well as underestimate and underestimate Montenegrins, denying their nationality and identity”, says the AME announcement.

The AME estimated that freedom of expression rights have been misused in the content mentioned on this television.

“Praising that this is a matter of public interest, whose protection requires implementation of measures to prevent inciting hatred, The AME concluded that it is justified to limit the transmission of the problematic show for a six-month period of”.

The Convention on Interborder Television states “that all programs, in terms of presentation and content, should respect human dignity and fundamental rights of others and should not improperly stress violence or promote racial intolerance and that they should not contain any inducement of hatred based on race, sex, religion, or nationality”.

The Agency for Electronic Media was prompted for its move by the recent presentation of Serbian Radical Party President Vojislav Seshel on Happy TV, insulting women from Montenegro's Cetina.

Szeel's insults prompted numerous reactions in Montenegro both by political parties and by the civil sector, warning Shezel of indictment. / VOA
