The Kosovo Communists Association (AKK) has announced that it has not been invited again as a member of the Anti-Cavid Committee.

Through a media communique, the AKK has invited the Government of Kosovo to co-operate closely and sincerely with all municipalities.

This shows that the AKK was once again excluded from this committee, which is named by municipalities as a very important mechanism in the fight to prevent the spread of COVID 19. The municipalities of the Republic of Kosovo once again invite the Government of Kosovo to co-operate closely and sincerely because the number of cases with COVID 19 is on the rise and such ignoring municipalities is unwarranted. The municipalities are of its citizens and they have the CRYETARIN that has been elected by direct voting, therefore in no way makes them ignored as such”, is said in the AKK communiqué.

According to the AAK, the government should be constructive with municipalities in the fight against pandemic.

“Life is held in municipalities. The mayors of the municipalities since the beginning of the pandemic have been at the forefront of the war for preventing the spread of COVID 19 so we ask that you co-operate closely with all municipalities and with the AKK as the representative of municipalities, so that the situation with COVID can be dealt with more easily. As always, once again municipalities seek constructive approaches from the Government of the Republic of Kosovo, at the local level. The AKK has returned to this committee with the decision of former Minister Arben Vitita”, said in the communiqué.
