The country has experienced an increase in case numbers, similar to those seen in several countries like France, the Netherlands and Britain.

France reported more than 460 thousand cases on Tuesday, while Italy recorded more than 228 thousand, reports DW, broadcast Clankosova.tv.

Since this week, the Omitron version accounts for over 70 per cent of new cases throughout Germany.
