Fidan Demolli sentenced for participation in ISIS

The Constitutional Court in Pristina has sentenced him to two years and six months in prison accused of organising and participating in terrorist group Fidan Demollin, after the same had pleaded guilty to the ISIS.

Judge Shadije Grguri has announced that indictees Demolli in the pronounced sentence would also be counted in detention.

Also, accused Demolli is obliged to pay the procedure's expenses for the judiciary in the amount of 50 euros, as well as on behalf of the funding for compensation of crime victims of 50 euros, all of these in the 15-day term from the integrity of this act.

At the January 18th session, accused Demolli had pleaded guilty and said he felt repentant.

Otherwise, according to the indictment filed on December 15, 2021, accused Fidan Demolli in August 2014 in order to join the terrorist organisation I SIS in Syria, along with the person Ardian Hyseni, from Pristina, through border crossings “Eating of Elesi”, had infiltrated northern Macedonia, reports the “Justice Voct”.

As reported in the indictment, then via Bulgaria had arrived in Turkey- Istanbul and then in Gazientep and after contact with Burim Demoll, had penetrated inside Syria and were registered in I The SIS, was equipped with AK-47 automatic rifles and after combat exercises, was involved in the Syria wars.

According to the PSRK, then the same has been handed over to the Syrian Democratic Forces, where it has stayed until July 17th, 2021, with the case being repatriated to Kosovo.

For these actions, Demolli was charged with criminal work “Organising and participation in terrorist group”, by Article 143, paragraph 2 of the Republic of Kosovo Penal Code.
