In Estonia the storm has caused hundreds of traffic accidents, and many vehicles have been blocked in snow. The same is true in Poland and the Czech Republic, among fallen trees and damaged roofs. Many power lines have been damaged, leaving dozens without power.

In Scotland the winds reach a speed of 100 miles [160 km] per hour, while 16 thousand families are isolated and without electricity. Bad weather has hit Germany, especially the city of Hamburg causing floods.
