Turkish President Recep Tayip Erdogan, seems to have felt quite well during the visit to Albania. At the close of the visit, a photo gallery was posted in his Instagram account with an Albanian description: “Thank you Albania, we love you!”

Erdogan's day in Albania began with the handover of keys to new posts for Laci residents, who had lost them in the November 26th 2019 earthquake. In all, Turkey contributed to the construction of 522 new residences, for a cost of 42m euros, as the Turkish president himself said. In Lac, the city's main square also got Erdogan's name, as a assessment of Turkey's help.

After signing several agreements and protocols between the two governments, Erdogan also gave a speech at the Albanian assembly, where he demanded that the extension of the organisation “Hizmet” of cleric Fetullah Gulen, called Turkey's terrorist organisation (FETO), be fought. “Rreziconi to repeat in Albania, what happened in Turkey”, was Erdogan's message to Albanian lawmakers, recalling the 2015 coup attempt in his country, which, according to Turkish authorities, was orchestrated by Gulen.

Visit to Albania, Erdogan closed with the inauguration of the Etéhem Bey mosque, restored by T IKA, the Turkish Agency for Co-operation and Co-ordination. In “Square Skenderbej” Erdogan was received by several hundred of his supporters, also coming from Northern Macedonia and Kosovo, who carried flags of Albania and Turkey. /A2
