Health Ministry has provided an explanation for recent measures against COVID-19 undertaken by the Government of the Republic of Kosovo, saying the decision envisions relief for those with three doses of vaccine, due to the apparent lower risk of becoming infected, until citizens of the Republic of Kosovo can enter the country being vaccinated with only two doses, without having the need to present negative test RT The PCR, and also if they don't have two doses of the vaccine, but undergoing domestic quarantine for a period of seven days since entering the territory of the Republic of Kosovo.
According to the ministry, all the measures undertaken have been the result of regular analysis of the epidemiology situation in the country, consultations with health professionals and the Council's Council Commission regarding COVID-19, which have been addressed on the Committee for Co-ordination and Education concerning COVID-19, representing institutions responsible for managing the situation with COVID-19.
The decision does not necessarily require evidence of three doses of vaccines to enter Kosovo, while also having access to two doses along with presence of negative test RT PCR no longer than 48 hours, a rule that has been practiced by other countries as well. The Health Ministry recalls that by the middle of last week, Kosovo has seen a rapid increase in cases of COVIID-19, reaching up to over 3,000 new cases a day, and this has also contributed to the increase in the number of patients in hospitals, while high levels of vaccines are essential in order for the health system not to overload, and in this direction, to minimize cases of deaths. Given that the decision on counterproliferation measures COVID-19 applies to the period until February 04th, 2022, and is based on assessing the situation of the intensity and capacity of the health system to respond, but also assessing them in light of the effects of these measures that society and individuals may have on the overall welfare of society. Anti - Efficiency Mechanisms COVID-19 will monitor on a daily basis the epidemiology situation related to COVID-19 and by the end of the week, our institutions will have a more comprehensive mirror on which the increased impact of COVID-19 cases on the hospital load and depending on it, as well as the number of new cases over the following days, all measures will be revised”, said the report.
