Kosovo Foreign Affairs Minister Mrs. Donika Gervala, in an interview for the Greek medium Tovima, has said he would like Athens to play an intermediate role in dialogue between Pristina and Belgrade. As for recognition by the Greek state, Kosovo's top diplomat has said we do not beg Greece for recognition.

“We are not begging Greece for recognition as we have already been recognised by the majority of European Union and NATO member states”, Mrs. Gervalla has said in this interview, Pryscope follows.

Kosovo wants recognition from Greece. Do you consider that this would be possible in a near future, especially after improving reports from July last year?

With Greece we share an ancient history of European values. Of course our government is very pro-European. We are convinced that the Greek decision as an important state would be a historic contribution to a long-term stability in the region and not only. We do not pray for recognition of Greece, since we have already been recognised by the majority of EU and NATO member states”, Gervala has said. /Periscope
