With the goal of facilitating trade between the three countries and facilitating the flow of goods between Northern Macedonia, Albania and Serbia, under the agreement, only the control of documentation is carried out at the border points along the import, or the identification of remittances.
” Physical Control takes place at the download site or at the customs terminal inside”, Macedonian Food and Veterinary Agency Director Nikollce Babovski told MIA.
As Alsat.mk writes, monitoring plans for food safety and the health of animals implemented in each state and are exchanged among the signatory countries so that each signatory countries can have knowledge of each country at the food safety level and the compliance of national legislation with EU legislation in areas subject to the agreement.
The” Agreement is based on intensifying co-operation based on established EU standards and recognising the results of laboratory analyses conducted with accredited methods as the basis for facilitating trade and developing economies in the three countries. And it presents real basis and access to activities we have to take in this area as countries in terms of membership in the European Union”, Babovski explains.
