The danger of Russia conquering Ukraine, Erdogan: Soon I go to Kiev

Turkey's president, Recep Tayip Erdogan, has spoken of the danger of invading Ukraine from Russia, expressing readiness to mediate. “We will not accept unrest in the region. We want peace to prevail and we are willing to do our part”, Erdogan said.
The latter warned that any kind of conquest or outbreak of war pose a major threat to regional peace. Stressing Turkey's good reports with Russia and Ukraine, he suggested that he will soon visit Kiev, but did not exclude Moscow either.
Russia has collected 100,000 troops near the Ukrainian border, which has raised Western concerns about an invasion of its former Soviet neighbour. The West is negotiating with Russia, while supplying weapons to Ukraine. The Kremlin has denied planning to invade Ukraine.
