At the meeting held with members of the American Chamber of Economics committees, Kosovo Customs General Director Agron Llugaliu said that communication between the institution he heads and businesses is always welcome, adding that business suggestions and recommendations are important to the institution.
Director Llugaliu pointed out that in 2021, the United States of America has already become Kosovo's main exporter market.
One of the main strategic customs objectives is to facilitate trade in which there has been notable progress last year, but there are always issues on which more needs to be focused, customs director Agron Llugaliu stressed, adding that Dogan is aiming at establishing new standards regarding the demands of producers who will accept answers within two weeks regarding authorisations.
As for foreign investments, Director Llugaliu said he is recently seeing a strong interest on the part of foreign investors for co-operation with Kosovo producers.
He added that customs is available and open to all demands so that investors do not face obstacles or barriers in Kosovo.
Many important aspects of business operation, including increased cooperation in fighting the informal economy, were also discussed at the meeting.
