Cold weather in Pakistan, 44 victims, among them kids

Foreign media suggest that 22 victims among them 10 children are trapped in cars, resulting in the cold, lost their lives in the town of Murree, in Punjab.

Also in Punjab, seven others died from the collapse of a roof under the weight of snow. Meanwhile, another 12 people lost their lives and 29 were injured in the northwest neighbourhood of Khiber Pahtunkhwa, bordering Afghanistan, from bad weather and frost.

Pakistan's Meteorological Department expects an improved weather for at least 72 hours.
