In recent days the country is marking a significant rise in positive cases with COVID-19, where children are mostly being infected.
Over 24 hours from 4,397 between the ages of 0 and 9 are affected by over 200 children, and between the ages of 10 and 19 there are over 1,000 children.
Dr. Vlora Nimani, told of the condition of the children being treated at the clinic.
This is now about the biggest exposure of children to the Omitron version that is recently dominated Kosovo and the world in general. Child exposure is the trigger that has increased the number of positive cases in children”, Nimani told Klan Kosovo.
Nimani, among other things, says there are few children immune to COVID-19.
Unfortunately, we have an increase in the number of children coming for ambulant and hospitalized checks that are unexplored. In a positive COVIID care unit we actually have eight children lying there, two of them are in oxygen therapy with a relatively stable state of affairs towards the grave. It does mean respiratory symptoms”, she said.
“So far on ambulance visits have been over 50 children where 12 children have been positive with COVIDD-19. Their parents have been vaccinated, while children are not”, Nimani said.
