Britain to send new missile system to Ukraine

Great Britain will hand over Ukraine a new antitank missile system that will help boost Ukraine's defence capacities, which, as British Defence Minister Ben Wallace said today, is facing Russia's threatening behaviour.

“We have made the decision to equip Ukraine with light antitank defence weapons systems,” said Wallace in parliament, adding that he invited Russian counterpart Sergei Shoigu to visit London in the coming weeks to discuss the crisis, Reuters reported.

This is not about strategic weapons. The equipment that we will hand over to Ukraine does not pose a threat to Russia, as they are of protective nature,” Wallace said.
