US Secretary of State Antony Blinken is talking to Russia's Foreign Affairs Minister Sergey Lavrov in Geneva, following the constant fears Russia may conquer Ukraine.
Both diplomats are meeting for short at the President Wilson Hotel, where they are exploring whether diplomacy is still likely to solve the crisis, Deutsche Welle writes.
Blinken has said at a meeting with Lavrov that Russia should expect a “combined, quick and heavy response” if it attacks Ukraine.
Both diplomats have said they will not be able to resolve all differences during the talks.
Lavrov also said he does not expect any major development from the talks, but wants a concrete response to Moscow's demands for security.
