Seven arrested in action in case “Brezovica”, two of them environmental Ministry officials

Seven people have been arrested in today's Ferizaj Prosecutor's Action in co-operation with the Kosovo Police, under suspicion of collears with construction in Brezovica. The news has confirmed Ferizaj's Founding Prosecutor through a communiqué to the media.

They are suspected of misusing official duty, taking bribes and bribery.

“So far seven (7) persons have been arrested, two of them are officials of the Ministry of Environment, Spatial Planning and Infrastructure, who are suspected of misusing the official task ) bribery, as well as five (5) suspected citizens of bribing”, the Prosecutor has announced.

According to the prosecution, the action is still under way.

“Foundation Procurory at Ferizaj will be kept informed in time of all other developments about this” action, said further in communique.

At the order of the Basic Prosecutor at Ferizaj and in co-operation with the Kosovo Police is continuing the action started on December 21st, 2021 on the case of “Brezovica”, where 10 locations are being raided in different cities, including the Offices of the Ministry of Environment, Space Planning and Infrastructure.

So far, seven (7) persons have been arrested, two of them are officials of the Ministry of Environment, Space Planning and Infrastructure, suspected of misusing official duty, as well as five (5) citizens suspected of bribery.

The foundation prosecutor at Ferizaj will be keeping you informed in time of all other developments about this action.
