Political process recogniser Besnik Vasoli has said that according to the ASC official statistics, Kosovo has released more than 550 thousand citizens since 1969.

Vasol also said that it is estimated that of these 550 thousand migrate citizens, there are also about 890 thousand of their children living in different parts of the world.

The 1969 “estimates that Kosovo has issued over 550 thousand inhabitants, of them their children account for nearly 890 thousand Kosovars living in Europe. Germany will apparently ease the measures further, as they need labor power, on the other hand Kosovars need work, we have a good youth who has not had the destiny of having the potential to get there, and that attracts them to think about leaving the country”, Vasol said.

According to him, a major role in the migration of Kosovars to Europe's developed countries is also played by diasporas.

“People don't migrate just because of the salary, but it's also because of their children's future, aspects of health, professional development, but also about aspects of security. In our case I think that the diaspora also plays the important role, because we have our family members there, and we see them live there. Even when they get here, the perception that they live a good life creates. We see them when they come here, they're funny, they're cheerful and they're walking around and we think reality is like that. But when they get there, a number of them are disappointed because even there they see that they have to work hard to achieve the well-being”, Vasol, who added that it also plays a role that many Kosovo citizens living in Europe have opened their businesses there and thus make it easier for their families to leave Kosovo.

Vasol has said that the state of Kosovo should create opportunities for youth welfare, so that they do not think about leaving, as according to him, the brain drain loses a lot.
