The American Embassy in Pristina has published a video release for the new US ambassador, Jeff Havenier.
In his presentation, Houvenier addresses the Kosovo people with greetings in Albanian, Serbian and English.
He speaks of three priorities he has as an American ambassador to our country: dialogue with Serbia, an integrated Kosovo, functional justice, developing economy and clean environment.
Here are some parts of Mr. Horvenier, escort Periscope:
“Hello, this is Jeff Havenier, the new US ambassador to Kosovo.
I just moved to Pristina, and my wife Laura will soon join me.
I am humble in the confidence President Beden and Secretary Blinken have given me to lead the mission in Kosovo to continue important work in strengthening ties between our two states.
Kosovo and its history are not unknown to me.
Kosovo's achievements over 13 short years are simply miracles. A living democracy, capable economy and leadership that Kosovo carries out of its borders.
However, there is still some unfinished business, here's my promise to you: I will work with the government, civil society activists and all of Kosovo's people”.
A fully engaged and integrated Kosovo in the region and in European and Euro-Atlantic institutions with improved relations normalised with its neighbours.
A Kosovo with stable, reliable institutions offering efficient services to its citizens. That offer service and share justice for the freedoms of all men.
A Kosovo with stable, dynamic economy attracting investment, protects environment and keeps innovative talent. /Periscopi
