That means the suspects may be left out of place.
Less than 10 Afghans have been declared unsuitable to enter the US, as security officials have found disqualifying information for them during the vetting process, an official close to these developments has said.
About 90 individuals continue to be verified at Camp Bondsteel, according to American officials.
Few states have agreed to receive Afghan individuals who are forbidden US entry.
But their return to Afghanistan could be a threat to international law.
Thousands have managed to escape through Kabul airport in August last year primarily without passing verification procedures until more than 60,000 former translators and other visa applicants have remained in Afghanistan.
Most of the more than 100,000 Afghans who fled Afghanistan after the U.S. mission was completed and power taken by the Taliban have been sent to the basis of American changes in the world to pass through initial security verifications.
Some 200 of them, some of whom are family members of individuals who have submitted to strict verification procedures, have been sent to Bondstheel for other procedures after concerns about their past have increased.
Some of the officials held there are persons who had high positions in the past Afghan government.
American intelligence, anti-discovery officials and US defence personnel are conducting verifications of these people, to understand whether they can continue their trip to the US, as has some.
Individuals currently held at Bondsteel are technically free to leave or give up the application process to enter the US, but they have to find another country to accept, American officials have said.
At least one individual has done so successfully.
American officials have said that there are no known terrorists in Bondsteel, but no more details of who is being held.
Among them is a former Taliban commander who has been imprisoned in a prison controlled by Americans in Bagram for two years.
The commander, whose name has not been published for security reasons, has later changed sides and has become a spokesman for the National Security Council in Afghanistan Government in 2020.
Everyone knows who I am, he said.
The Taliban will kill me and then deny they have knowledge of the” murder.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Kosovo, there are currently 758 Afghans at Camp Bondsteel.
They can stay in this country for more than a year.
Initially, 1,286 people from Afghanistan have arrived in Kosovo, but meanwhile, 528 of them have fled to the US and other allied countries.
Unlike Albania and Northern Macedonia, where Afghan citizens are free to move outside the spaces where they are located, Afghans sheltered in Kosovo have stricter security measures.
Since the day of arrival on Kosovo's territory, Afghans continue to be closed in two camps, American military camp Bondsteel and another nearby camp known as the Bechtel-Enka construction camp.
Both camps are near the city of Ferizaj, and the distance between them is less than two miles [2 km].
